Sand pipers

The history tells us about a little piper that is learning how to eat on his own. The first time that he came over the sea a little wave hit him and then he's afraid of the water.

His mother encourages him to eat by his own, but this time the little piper doesn’t want to go. A few seconds later the little piper is too hungry, and he decides to give it a try. And this time he sees how a little seashell hides from the waves, and the piper decided to do the same.

After that the piper is very calmful and happy inside the water where he can feed all the pipers group.

Virtual Reality Sculpture

Camins

This sculpture by Elisa Arimany is an abstract monument called Camins. It was created in 1972 and its style is contemporaneous. It is made with stones and iron. This piece is formed by 4 structures of iron that symbolize the four bars of the Catalan Flag. The stones next to it represent the industrial chimneys of Terrassa. This abstract sculpture may appear different to different people due to it is strangeness. This is the beautyl of abstract; it holds a wide range of meanings and anyone can understand its meaning in a different way. Despite all the points of view, this sculpture mainly represents the Catalanism of Terrassa.

Homelessness

Homelessness is a very important problem to solve. People who don’t have a place to sleep are vulnerable to suffer hypothermia and die. In countries with cold climes pick this people and offer them a worm place to sleep in the winter cold nights.

Actually this problem is getting worse because the price of life is increasing and a lot of people can’t afford this. Rent a flat or buying food is more expensive than years ago.

If I were a politician I would enable centres to offer them a temporary house and a place to socialize with other people with the same problem as them.

Camino de Santiago

Last month my family decided to walk the Camino de Santiago.

The first day was very quiet, we walked calmly along the path and finally we arrived at the hostel where we had to share the room with other walkers. It was very interesting and they told us a lot of stories.

The second day was very funny, while we were climbing a mountain a goat started chasing dad when he was sleeping in the tent. He started running and all of us laughed.

On third day we had to pack our things because it started to rain a lot. We were all in the tent when it stopped and then it come out a beautiful rainbow. The trip vas very good and I enjoyed it a lot.

Saint Patricks Day letter to a Japanese friend

Hi Matsukito.

Today we are celebrating St Patricks Day in Spain and it was very good.

In school we have to wear some Green clothes and if you wear it, teaches give you a chocolate coin. They take a photo of me wearing a very big Irish hat.

We ate cake too, and the cake was cooked by classmates, it was very good.

MY FREE TIME

My name is Arnau. I'm from Catalonia, Spain. After school I dont' have a lot of free time, I have to have lunch, do my homework, study and I also go training waterpolo from six to eight o'clock.

In the evening i come home of the training and do more homework. I have dinner and sometimes i watch TV a little and play computer games.

On weekends I play computer games and, Wii and PSP. Then I do some homework.

On Saturdays I spend a lot of time playing because in the week i can't play anything.

I do some homework too. In the morning I go to La Maquinista to buy something. On Sundays I play a waterpolo match. After the match I go to my grandparents home to have lunch. When I finish I stay a little at their home. After this, I go home and finish homework.

I play Ipad, watch TV and have dinner.

On Saturday morning. I wake up at 10 o'clock. I have breakfast a half past ten. Then, usually, I go shopping to “El Corte Ingles” or “La Maquinista”. I have lunch there. Then I come home and I do some homework. Then I play I pad. I have dinner. I watch TV and I go to sleep.

 On Sundays I wake up. I play a water polo match. I have lunch because I'm very hungry. I watch TV and finish homework. Sometimes I go to the cinema. I have dinner and I go to sleep.
